Hi, I'm Fernando Lupo

I’m an award-winning VFX, CGI, and Motion Graphics artist with nearly 20 years of experience in the audiovisual industry. My career has allowed me to work with at least 15 film studios, several non-governmental organizations, and various government institutions as an independent freelance professional.

I’ve collaborated with international studios, including a London-based studio focused on innovation and new visual narratives, contributing to projects for major global corporations.

I studied Systems Engineering, gaining a solid foundation in optics, kinematics, and general physics, which are invaluable for creating realistic VFX. I also pursued medicine up to my third year, completing courses in Anatomy and Physiology, providing me with deep knowledge of biological morphology and human functioning, which enhances my ability to create lifelike organic effects.

With 12 years specializing in VFX, I’ve worked on over 1,400 VFX composited shots, delivering everything from climatic effects and digital landscapes to CGI creatures and motion graphics for institutional projects.

I continuously study and adapt to new technologies and trends, integrating advanced tools like AI and recursive nesting processes into my daily work.

Visual Comparison: Production Reference and Final VFX

This side-by-side comparison highlights the crucial role of production references during filming. A crew member acted as a stand-in for the creature, providing essential guidance for movement, positioning, and interactions within the scene. These references ensured the final VFX seamlessly aligned with the director's vision and the project’s narrative
